your details, kept simple.

gakenkeyguy is a ga kenkey restaurant at JRF7+HMF, North Dzorwulu, Accra. this page explains what we keep when you use our website or app, why, and for how long. there are no accounts, no passwords and no advertising trackers.

what we collect

when you order or book a table: your name, phone number, delivery address (for delivery), the food you chose, any notes you add, and the day and time you want it.
when you pay online: payments are handled by Paystack. your card or mobile money details go to Paystack, not to us. we only receive whether the payment went through, the amount and a reference.
when you leave a review: the name, area, rating and words you type. reviews are only shown after we approve them.
order updates: if you allow notifications, your phone gives us a notification address so we can tell you when your order is accepted, ready or on its way. you can turn this off at any time in your phone's settings.
on your own phone: your basket and recent orders are saved on your device so you don't lose them. they stay there until you clear the app's or browser's data.

how we use it

to cook, pack, deliver or serve your order, and to hold your table.
to contact you about that order or booking, by WhatsApp, text message or phone call.
to print a receipt, so the kitchen and the courier know whose order it is.
to keep our accounts. our bookkeeping only receives daily totals, not your name or phone number.

we never sell your details, and we don't use them for advertising.

who else sees it

Paystack: processes online payments.
our text-message provider: sends order updates to your phone number.
Cloudflare: hosts our website and stores orders securely.
our courier: gets your name, phone number and address for deliveries.

how long we keep it

orders, bookings and the customer details on them are deleted automatically after 90 days. approved reviews stay on the site until you ask us to remove them.

your choices

to see, correct or delete the details we hold about you, or to remove a review, message us on WhatsApp at +233 200 600 600 or email gakenkeyguy@gmail.com. we'll do it within 7 days.

we handle your details in line with Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843).

children

our website and app are meant for adults ordering food. we don't knowingly collect details from children under 13.
